About the Author

Hi There! My name is Rishi Bajaj and I am currently a junior in high school. I’ve always been intrigued by Finance and other Business-related industries, but an educational course I attended in the Summer of my freshman year introduced the idea of “Impact Investing” or “Social Investing” which altered my view of the business world. Instead of being the stereotypical CEO who only values profit, despite the unethical work conditions and environmental damages associated with their product, Impact Investing offers a modern alternative that values both profit and social impact – which you can read more about by scrolling down on the “posts” section of the blog.

Other than researching and investing, some of my other hobbies include playing baseball and basketball. I have been a part of my school’s varsity baseball team since my freshman year of high school and have played 2nd base, Short Stop, and 3rd base. Because of my love for the sport and the healthy “escape” it offers from certain stresses, I started to volunteer for Miracle League, a league that allows kids with intellectual and physical disabilities to enjoy the game of baseball. With the hope of making baseball as enjoyable and stress-relieving as it is for me, I attempt to go above and beyond for the athletes playing in order to ensure they have a good time. I am also currently working on a project with the league in order to implement adaptive restrooms near the field so that the athletes can enjoy the game they love as comfortably and efficiently as possible.
